NOTICE OF APPROVAL
HARBOUR EAST – MARINE DRIVE COMMUNITY COUNCIL
TAKE NOTICE THAT HARBOUR EAST – MARINE DRIVE COMMUNITY COUNCIL did, on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 approve the following application:
Case 24469: WM Fares Architects, on behalf of property owners, is requesting to enter into a development agreement to permit a comprehensive mixed-use residential, commercial, and institutional development with up to 2,800 dwelling units, a large shared housing with special care use, an office building, and an expansion to the existing mall at 21 - 41 Micmac Boulevard, Dartmouth.
The planning documents have been reviewed and approved by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing as per the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter.
The 14-day appeal period for the Development Agreement portion of the above-noted application begins today.

A public hearing will be held by Regional Council on March 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Halifax City Hall (Council Chamber), 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax, NS.

All oral and written submissions will be considered at that time. Written submissions are welcomed and encouraged in advance of the hearing itself. These submissions are distributed to all Councillors and considered at the time of their decision. Written submissions may be forwarded to the Municipal Clerk by e-mail; by fax, 902-490-4208; or by mail, P.O. Box 1749, Halifax, NS, B3J 3A5. Written submissions must be received by the Municipal Clerk’s Office as early as possible and not later than 3:00 p.m. on March 10, 2026. Please allow sufficient time for delivery.
